Chapter 123

Melody spent Friday peacefully to herself. Until 3.40pm that is, the kids got home and noise returned to the house. All day it had been quiet but now 4 people were talking at once, talking about their day or the plans they made for the weekend.

When J and Tyler brought up a party they were going to on Saturday night Melody reminded them they still had to work at the cd store during the day, like they always did. Melody’s job there might have become needless, but theirs hadn’t, she also reminded them of the last few tests they still had during the last week of school.

Grumpily both boys went downstairs to their room. At least now she only had two voices talking at her. To be fair she reminded them of their homework too. Then nobody had to remember last minute homework at their dad’s house. Which she was sure they did since they always did it at hers.

After 20 minutes, her little bit of peace returned. She lied back down on the couch and tried to enjoy the extra few minutes of quiet. Her headache weren’t as bad anymore but still very present.

Her few minutes didn’t take long and Faith bounced back into the living room, jumping the last two steps from the stairs, creating a bang.

Melody sighed, quiet just never worked with kids.

“Faith, don’t do that.”
“Why not?” She asked innocently.
“It’s a lot of noise.”
“Why?” She asked again.
“It is, keep it down or go to your room.” She usually got annoyed when Faith started her why questions, Melody was still desperately hoping for that faze to pass.
“Okay.” Faith sat down on the other couch and flipped on the tv.

Just the tv, Melody thought to herself, it’s not that loud.

But she knew Jon didn’t have a concert tonight and decided to listen to him instead. His voice was nicer than the tv. Melody got up and went to her room, picked up her phone where she had left it and dialed Jon’s number.

After talking to Jon for a while she promised to phone him back when she was going to bed later on. Now she still had her job as a mother and needed to prepare dinner. Definitely something teenage boys didn’t do. In fact she wondered how they would survive at college and just hoped there would be a dining hall or something like it.

Once again Melody braced herself for the noise that would come with dinner. Unlike yesterday she prepared a dinner herself. It wasn’t much but it would do just fine.

During dinner, chatter started again, a mother never got rest. She knew that fact and tried to listen to what they were telling her and tried to ignore how bad she felt. Her headache had already returned and it wasn’t going to change now either, so she let them be and let them talk about their day.

Hearing them talk happily helped her though, there was nothing that could make her happier than the happiness of her children. If they were happy, she was happy. Even though she didn’t feel well, she was happy to listen to them.

She was glad to hear about the art project Faith got to do in the afternoon. Interested in what Ryan learned in History class and happy for both J and Tyler to only have 2 more tests next week. She just hoped they studied enough for it, school was one of the things she found most important for them.

When bedtime came around, Melody was glad she could go to bed. After Faith had gone up to her room, Melody left the living room and went to her own bed. Thinking how much nicer it was when Jon was there last time, it had been easier and she was almost thankful he hadn’t let her out of bed.

Like she had promised she phoned Jon back as she got in bed.

Saturday was much quieter again. J and Tyler had both gone to work and Ryan was out with friends. Which only left Faith at home with Melody.

Usually Saturday was the day Melody went grocery shopping with Faith but today she just couldn’t be bothered. She knew there was enough food in the house for another week, so she skipped her usual routine. Instead she slept in until Faith woke her up with a knock at her door.

Of course Faith wasn’t going to give her the day off but Melody had a better idea. In the living room she picked out a few movies, some of Faith’s favorites and convinced her to have a day full of movies. Luckily it didn’t take Faith much to convince.

The girl got herself a box of Lucky Charms and a bowl and planted herself in front of the tv. Melody was glad she was easily convinced and not hard to please. She took her spot on the couch again and started the first movie.

By the time the fourth movie ended, her youngest son joined their movie party and decided on the next movie, much to Faith’s dislike but Melody let him. Faith had her chance to watch her movies all day; it was only fair if Ryan wanted to watch something now too.

Melody missed most of Ryan’s movie, after twenty minutes into it she fell asleep.

“We’re leaving early!”
The slam of the door woke Melody up. Confused she looked over at the clock, 7.16. “Where are you going?”
J walked in the room, followed by Tyler. “That party, told you about it yesterday.” J answered.
“Where is it?” They hadn’t mentioned where or who’s party it was, she couldn’t let them just go.
“It’s nothing really.” He answered. “We’re just celebrating school’s over.”
“Where?”
“Marina Park.”
“Your party is at a public park?” She asked suspicious.
“It’s hardly a party, we’re just hanging out.”
Melody looked up at Tyler.
“It’s just some people from school and we already said we’d be there.” He backed up his brother.
“Fine, but be home by midnight.”
“We will.” They both answered and left the room.

“Who wants pizza?” Melody asked the two other children.

Hours later she lied in her bed, waiting for Jon’s call, it was almost midnight and she was waiting up for her sons too. She just felt better if she knew they were home, safe and sound again.

A few minutes after midnight her phone finally started ringing, the noise irritated her and she tried to make it stop as fast as she could.

“Jonny?” She asked.
“Mel, are you alright?”
“Just a little worried.” She knew her could hear it in her voice anyway.
“Why are you worried?”
“Jon and Tyler went out and I’m not sure it was such a good idea.” Melody confessed.
“Why isn’t that a good idea? They’ve gone out before.” Jon pointed out.
“I know but they said this was at a park with some friends but it doesn’t sound right.”
“Parties happen at parks, Mel, they usually get caught though.”
“Caught? What do you mean?” She asked even more worried.
“Public park, noise, night time, usually cops show up.”

Melody’s eyes went wide with surprise. “What?”
“Don’t worry, when were they supposed to be home?”
“Oh.”
“I shouldn’t have let them go.” If something happened, she’d blame herself forever.
“15 minutes, isn’t much, they’re probably on their way home now.” Jon tried to calm her down again.
“I don’t know, I think there’s something wrong.”
“They’ll be home in a few minutes.” Jon tried again.

Melody's attention was turned abruptly to the sound of the doorbell.

“The doorbell.” She said to her phone.
“Must be them.”
“No,” she started getting out of bed, “they have keys, why would they ring the bell?”
“Because they’re too drunk to find them.”
“You’re not funny, I’m really worried here.” She told him off.
“I’m sorry but they’ll be fine.”

Melody finally reached the door and unlocked it to open it. She was just going to tell Jon she’d be right back but the phone slipped from her hand.

Chapter 122

By Thursday afternoon Melody was home again. As she got back in bed she got her phone and searched for Jon's number, his voice alone would be a comfort.
"Melody?" He answered the phone confused. She had to work until 5pm and it was only 1.30.
"Hey, you okay?"
"Should be asking you. Aren't you working?"
"No, my boss sent me home during lunch. He said I can't interact with people like that."
"That's good. Are you back in bed?" He was glad she was forced to rest now.
"Yeah, I just wanted to hear your voice before I went to sleep. Tell me about the last few days?" She'd gladly listen to him talk about his weekend and work. She'd even gladly listen if he was reading the phonebook to her.

Jon started telling her about the day he had spent with Jake. How they went to a morning movie, Jake's favorite restaurant for lunch and then went to the beach before they went to the arcade and another of Jake's favorite restaurants. Back at home Dorothea dropped off the other kids and Jake had a second birthday party.

He continued to tell her about the rest of his week, at home with the children and how leaving on Wednesday went much better than last time.

By the time he wanted to tell her about the concert last night Melody didn't react anymore. She must have fallen asleep. He wished her a good night and hung up the phone.

It made him think of the week before how he had watched her sleep on his laptop. That had been a rough day. He hadn't put much more thought in to it afterwards. He would love another baby, all his children were his little miracles, how couldn't he want another miracle? But Melody  was right, now wasn't the right time. They're relationship was still young, they needed more time with each other before anything could happen. He settled his mind on moving in together, for now at least.

Melody slept the remainder of the afternoon and didn't wake up until it was almost dinner time. Even the children getting home hadn't woken her up.

It took a great effort to get up but finally she got to the kitchen. She really didn't feel like cooking and checkes the freezer for ready made meals that she kept just in case.

Luckily she found a few dishes that would satifsy everyone. She wasn't sure yet if she was eating. Maybe just some soup or something but definitely not a lasagna or spaghetti that she had put in the oven.
Half an hour later she sat with the kids in front of the tv, eating ready made meals always felt better in front of the tv.
She remembered Jon saying school would be over in two weeks which made her think of her oldest son. After his years of being a bad boy, unbeknownst to Melody it was because of the divorce. A few months ago they finally talked it out and Melody was so proud of his improvements. He finally stopped being rude when she talked to him, his whole attitude changed. His friends had ditched him because of it but he claimed to be fine with it. His grades had gone back up and the sports scholarship he risked of losing was safe again. Melody was very proud of him for making those changes and so quickly. She couldn't believe he was going to college in a few months. He might be the oldest but he was still her baby.

Next year it would be the same for Tyler. At least it would take a few more years before Ryan followed both of them. She couldn't believe how fast time had gone. She could still picture them as little babies, tiny in her arms.

"Jon wants us all to stay at his place for two weeks, like a vacation." She finally said.
"A vacation at his house?" Ryan asked confused.
"Yeah," J answered before Melody could, "Steph told me they got a big mansion where they used to live."
"Oh." Was Ryan's answer.
"It's in two weeks. When school is over but I have to ask your dad first." Melody hoped he wouldn't object, afterall they were all staying with him for two months while she was gone.
"Cool." Tyler answered for all of them.

Melody still had time to phone Jon and decided to do it now rather than waiting up for him to call after the concert, by then she hoped to be sleeping. Thanks to time difference it was earlier for him than it was for her.
She said good night to her children and went to her room, not intending to get out until tomorrow morning. Her phone was still on the night stand where she had placed it after her last call. She picked it up and called the last number.

"Hey babe." Jon answered on the first ring like he usually did.
"Hi honey, how are you?"
"I'm good. How are you feeling? Any better yet?" He asked right back. He was concerned and rather be with her but he couldn't.
"Not really but I got a chance to ask the kids about your idea." Melody said.
"What did they say? Can I sent a cleaning team over there?" He hadn't been there in a month, it must have gotten dust and he didn't like making beds.
"You can but I have to ask Rob too but since they're staying with him while I'm gone he really shouldn't complain." Her voice started to sound hoarse again near the end of her explanation.
"It'll be fine. You haven't seen all of the house yet either." Jon pointed out. "It'll be great. The kids can all stay in the guest rooms unless Faith wants to bunk with Romeo and Jake again and you get to bunk with me." Jon said happily.
"Top or bottem?" Melody asked, referring to bunk beds.
"Any way you like it babe."
"That sounds so good." It had been a while after all.
"Don't start anything, you're sick, you need sleep." Jon ordered.
"I know, I know."
"Oh my God, she finally admitted she's sick. How high is your fever?" He joked.
"So funny." Melody said.
"I love you babe."
"I know you do."
"You don't love me back?" He joked again. "I can't go without you saying it."
"Maybe I shouldn't say it then and we'll have to keep talking."
"I'd love that idea but I'd like your sweet voice to come back so you really should rest." Jon said sweetly.
"Hmmm."
"I'll call you back in the morning okay?" He asked.
"Yeah and Jon?"
"Yeah?"
"I need to thank you."
"For what?" He asked confused.
"For helping me with J, if you hadn't told me, he'd probably still be mad at me."
"You don't need to thank me for that. That was all you." Jon said.
"Maybe, but you pointed out the problem that I didn't know. Did you notice Stephanie called him Jon a few weeks ago?" She asked.
Even though her voice was hoarse, he could hear she was proud. "Yeah I noticed."
"Maybe he'll stop being so stobburn and finally let people call him Jon again." She hated that he hated his name so much. For stupid reasons too, she thought. After all, it was only a name.
"Maybe."
"I love you honey." Melody said, she couldn't say goodbye without telling him either.
"I know you do. Good night."
"Have a good show."

They said their goodbyes and when Melody turned to put her phone back on her night stand her door slowly opened with Faith walking in.
"Can I sleep with you?"

Melody really didn't want her to get sick too but patted the bed on Jon's side. "Come on then."
Faith climbed in on the other side. Just before Melody turned off the lights, she said, "I like your picture with Jon. It's sweet."
"Thank you. Come here." She pulled Faith closer to hug her.

At least her little girl still had a lot of growing up to do before she was off to college. She didn't want to wonder how teenage years with her would be. It would be something entirely new, luckily it was still a few years away from now.

Who knows what'll happen in a few years from now. She had learned things didn't always work out like you planned. She had imagined her whole life when she was young but she hadn't thought of divorce or meeting the man that once covered her walls much more than they did now. Let alone have a relationship with him, an emotional and a physical one. She certainly hadn't thought that man would ask her to move in with him a few times while she kept turning him down.

But it was good things didn't turn out like they had been planned or she wouldn't have met him at all. If she had had a perfect relationship with her ex-husband, she probably wouldn't have Faith, their last attempt to save their marriage. If her life had been like she had planned when she was 16, she'd have two sisters now.
Two daughters named after their aunts, like she planned instead of three wonderful boys.

All in all her life was exactly like she wanted. Children that loved her. A man that wanted and needed her and most of all loved her very much. A man that she wanted and needed too. One she loved with all her heart, probably more than she had loved anyone before.

She gave Faith another hug and with happy thoughts she went to sleep.

Chapter 121

I'm so sorry, I'm doing such a crappy job at this lately

Tuesday after work Melody left her car in the underground parking lot of the hotel. She had scheduled a viewing for the apartment she liked so much at 5.20pm. Google maps had told her it was only a 10 minute walk. She checked for the time and started her walk.

Along with searching for the town she also copied a small map from the internet but she thought she knew the area well enough to find it without any help at all.

At the end of the block, she turned left and followed the block until the end where she turned right, looking up to see a street name, she saw she was going the right way. One more turn and there she saw the realtor waiting outside the building.

“You must be Melody Walker.” She was greeted.
“Yes I am.” Melody looked up at the building, she liked the building itself, it wasn’t anything special but she didn’t need anything special.
“Let’s go inside.” The lady opened the door for Melody and lead her to the elevator, once inside she pressed the button for the third floor.

It didn’t take long and a moment later they stood in a hallway with two doors. Melody liked that she would still have a neighbour.

The lady opened the door to the apartment and they both stepped inside.

“To that way there are two bedrooms, the rest are upstairs.”
“There’s an upstairs?” Melody asked surprised, she hadn’t expected that and was sure she hadn’t read it on the website either.
“Yes but it’s small, just the bedrooms.”

The other side of the hallway lead them to the kitchen with a separate dining room. Melody liked everything so far, from the colour of the kitchen wall to the brightness of the rooms. The living room, she liked even more, it was a decent size, except for the terrace, it would still be perfect.

The realtor led her back to the hallway where the bedrooms were and where they found a staircase. Upstairs were two more bedrooms and another full bathroom like the one next to the kitchen. The size of the extra bedroom disappointed her. Before it had been used as an office space, there wouldn’t fit much more than a bed and a wardrobe. It was quite small to be a bedroom. Luckily she hadn’t told the kids about it yet since Robert had to talk to them first about it.

They finished their tour and once outside, Melody shivered. It was the middle of May, it wasn’t really cold but she shivered. She said goodbye and promised to let something know in a week from now.

On her way home she was pretty sure she was going to take it. Even though the bedroom and the terrace outside the living room were quite disappointing, the location and size was perfect.

When she arrived home she realized today was also Jon’s last day at home, tomorrow morning he was leaving again. She had hardly seen him when he was home but she thought he needed the time for his children too. She’d get her time with him later.

Later that night she phoned him up, to ask his opinion. If she couldn’t live with him, he’d be very glad to have her that close to him. He could even go over and surprise her.

Melody would love to live with him but how would it work with eight children? Even though two were off to college in a few months. Months, they’d only been together for a few months, five months. Wasn’t five months too early to move in together? She knew she loved him and that she never wanted anybody else anymore, she just wanted him. She wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. Or was five months too soon to feel or want that?

In only a few weeks she’d be with him for two months. Every day, exactly like she wanted. She doubted she could say goodbye and go to her own home after two months with him.

All that thinking gave her a headache. She said goodnight to Jon and made him promise he’d phone tomorrow as soon as he arrived at his hotel. Hoping sleep would help her headache, Melody went to bed.

The next morning she woke up with the same headache, only it had changed to a pressure headache. Not again, not another cold. Reluctantly she got out of bed and went to get ready. She her kids and work after all.

By noon she was sure it was another cold. She never got sick, last month had been the first time in years. She had heard that people that don’t get colds often, get them worse. She always believed it to be an old wives tale. Maybe those old wives were right after all. Hopefully it wasn’t true for her.

During lunch she drank some hot tea, hoping it would make her feel better a little. After her first cup she got her phone call from Jon, telling her he arrived safely at the hotel.

After Faith was put to bed, Melody decided to turn in early herself. The headache hadn’t gone away all done and in the afternoon a couch started building too, at least it wasn’t as bad as last week, it could be worse.

Only two more days at work and she’d have the weekend to start feeling better.

Instead of waiting up for Jon’s call after the concert, Melody turned out the lights in her room and snuggled between her pillows and sheets. Right now she wanted Jon, how he had cared for her last time. Perfectly warm next to her, that’s how she wanted him. She took his pillows but was disappointed they didn’t smell like him anymore.

The next morning Melody found her phone had three missed calls and the same amount of text messaged. She had slept through all Jon’s calls.

Even though she had gotten a full night’s sleep, she still felt bad.

While she was reading the messages her phone started ringing. Startled by the sound and the change of screen it took her a second to press the button to answer the call.

“Hey.” She was surprised how hoarse her voice sounded.
“Good morning, you alright babe?” He asked worried after she hadn’t answered his phone calls the night before.
“Yeah, I’m al-” But she had already lost the rest of her voice.
“You sure don’t sound like it. Did you catch another cold?”
Melody sighed tiredly. “I think so.”
“I hope you take the rest of the week off then. You need to rest.”
“I can’t.” Her voice still sounded hoarse, but not worse.
“You should.” He insisted, he knew she should, he was only worried about her.
“I can’t.”
“Fine.” Jon knew she could be as stubborn as he was. “At least stop talking and save that voice and listen to me. I was thinking last night and got an idea. After next week when this part of the tour is over school is out too. So I was thinking to take everyone to the Jersey house before us two go to Europe.”
“Two weeks?” She asked, liking the idea already even if it was one week.
“Yeah.”
“Sounds good.” Melody agreed to his idea. “I still have to work then.”
“I know but it would still be fun, maybe you can take a few days off anyway.” Before she could say she couldn’t, he went on. “Now go to back to sleep.” He ordered.
“I can’t.”
“Okay.” He really didn’t want to argue about it, it could be endless like the issue about painkillers. He wasn’t bringing that up too. “I am, since I’ve only slept 4 hours. Please don’t make yourself feel worse.”
“I’ll do my best.” Melody promised.
“Feel better soon, love you.”
“Love you too. Phone me tonight?” She asked a little uncertain he might not want to phone after all the missed calls last night.
“Of course.”
“Good night, more like sleep tight, since it’s morning not night.” She said.
Jon chuckled. “Thanks.”

Chapter 120

Sunday evening, at the usual time, Melody heard the doorbell. Finally her kids were home. She went to open the door, all four of them stood there, for some reason she had missed them more than usual. It had been an emotional week for her.

She hugged them all before they went to their room and she turned to Rob. “So what did you need to talk about?” She asked him.
“I don’t know if you’re gonna like this.” He started off.
The tone of his voice made Melody nervous, like something bad was going to happen. “What is it?”
“I got a job offer.”
“Well that’s good.” She knew the job offer from New York that he had been putting down for years, he couldn’t be accepting that now.
“It’s in a different state.” He added.

Confused, Melody looked at him, he never wanted to take the job because it was in a different state and he would lose custody of the kids. “Which state?” She asked him, wondering how far away this amazing job was going to be.
“New York.”
“New York?” Melody asked.
“Yeah.”
“The state I’ve been wanting to move for a few years to be closer to work?” She was getting angry.
“I guess so.”
“It’s the job you never wanted to take isn’t it. The one you wouldn’t take so I could move to New York too and have things a little easier.” She asked.
“I guess.” He repeated.

Melody sighed frustrated, that’s what she had been worried about? She could finally move to New York, have a place closer to Jon, closer to work. She wouldn’t have to get up at 5 am anymore when she worked the long hours.

“So you don’t mind if I take the job?” Rob asked a little uneasy.
“No, it would be my pleasure, take it.” She urged. It was only a thing she had wanted for years.
“You’re sure?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, I’ll tell the kids next week then.” Rob said before leaving.

Melody almost made a little jump of joy, thinking of all the extra time she could spent with Jon if she lived in New York. She just had to start looking for a new house, already getting excited.

Instead she found her kids already in front of the tv. “Do you guys ever do anything else?”
“Not much.” Ryan answered her.
Melody sighed and sat in the nearest empty spot next to J. “So how was the week?” She asked nobody in particular.
“Fine.” J answered.

Melody sighed again, less tv, they needed much less tv.

Finally Faith was the first to acknowledge her presence and came over to sit in her lap. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too.” Melody hugged her tightly.

She was relieved when she finally could turn off the tv. As usual Faith went to bed an hour after they arrived and the boys remembered last minute homework they still had to do. So it was pushing 9.30 pm and Melody sat alone, quietly in the living room. Unsure whether to call Jon or go house hunting. She loved looking at houses, especially the ones she couldn’t afford.

Finally she decided on her laptop and browsed the internet for online realtors in New York City, to see what she could find and how close to Jon she could actually be before she really got her hopes up.

She opened the page, typing in the state name, maximum price and bedrooms and clicked search.

Most of what she found were apartments, which wasn’t surprising for New York City, most of the buildings were apartment buildings anyway.

She loved having a back yard but the kids were old enough to not need it anymore and a terrace would be just fine according to her too.

Before she knew it, she was really looking at apartments instead of just browsing, saving the ones she liked most. She even emaild one of the realtors to see if she could get an appointment to view it. She loved the building and the apartment itself was beautiful. The kitchen was fairly new. Enough bedrooms that even J and Tyler would have their own room. Of course there wouldn’t be a den, but that would be fine. The living room was bright, along with the kitchen and a separate dining room.

She started to get excited about it, she liked it a lot and it looked perfect. According to google maps it was only a ten minute walk to work. Which was perfect, she’d save so much money on gas that way.

Excited about her search, she finally phoned Jon, not looking up at the time.

“Hey.” She said as soon as he picked up.
Hi, you okay?” He asked a little confused.
“Of course, why?” Melody asked a little confused herself.
“Cause it’s passed 11.”

Melody looked up at the clock, realizing he was right.

“I’m sorry, calling you this late. I can call back tomorrow.”
“Oh no, talk to me now. What’s up?” He asked.
“Well I finally talked to Rob.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah, he got a job offer in a different state.” She explained.
“Oh.” He sounded disappointed.
Melody almost felt bad for teasing him. “Yeah and I can’t lose my kids, so I have to move too.”

“What?”
“I can’t just let him move. Unless we go to court and make a huge custody thing out of it.” She continued.
“Where’s he moving to?” Jon finally asked, thinking it would be bad.
“New York.”

Jon groaned frustrated. “You’re evil.”
“Who? Me?” Melody asked innocently, she couldn’t help but laugh a little, she was only teasing him.
“Yes you!” He said sharply. “You made me think you we’re going to the other side of the country or something.”
“But if I had said New York from the start, you wouldn’t be so relieved now.” Melody pointed out. She still found her joke funny.

“I would have been a lot happier at the first mention.” He said. “Cause New York could mean, move in with me.” He said happily.
“Where are four more kids going to fit in your apartment?” Melody asked. “Besides, I already found this perfect spot, only 10 minutes walk from you.”
“I can just get a bigger place.” Jon pointed out.
“You can’t do that. If we were married or something, then you could but not now.” Melody said without thinking of her words.
“I’ll think of something.”
“I really like this place and I’m pretty sure I can get it.” Melody tried to convince him.

Finally they both let the moving part go and Jon told Melody about his day with Jake. Which started around 10 and ended about 12 hours later, it had been a late bed time for Jake but Jon knew he definitely made up for his birthday and to him that was all that mattered, his kids their happiness.

Chapter 119

The next morning Jon was up rather early to have gone to bed at 2 am. He watched Melody sleep, her peaceful figure next to him. When they had gone to sleep, she had snuggled up to him but she must have moved away while they slept.

He loved the way she looked, her face was peacefully relaxed, her full breasts, her belly. For a second he thought about what they might or might not have lost. Maybe someday.
After a few more minutes, he got up from the bed, he had work to do.

When he walked back into the room, freshly showered, Melody was just getting dressed. “You’re leaving?”

He asked a little confused, he’d be back some time tonight.
“Yeah, you’ll be gone all day anyway and my kids come home tomorrow.” Melody explained.
“I guess you’re right. So I don’t get to see you for two weeks?” He asked.
“I’ll miss you too but think of the welcome home sex you’ll get.” She walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his neck with a smile.
“I like that.” He bent down to kiss her.
“Do we have time for breakfast?” Melody asked, not ready yet to say goodbye.
“I’m sure we do.” He gave her another short kiss.

After breakfast Jon went to get ready before they got in the elevator together. It was closer to noon by now and Jon was sure the rest of the band was waiting for him by now.
By the car they said goodbye, kissing each other.
“Phone me tonight?” Melody asked.
“I’ll try.” The first chance he’d get today just might be after the concert on his way back he’d be in a helicopter, he’d be home well past midnight.
“Just wake me up.” She said before giving him another kiss.

At home Melody did her usual Saturday things which mostly existed out of cleaning and facebook. She remembered she still hadn’t phoned Rob back to see why he needed to talk to her, she had been otherwise occupied the past week. Tomorrow would be good enough to talk to him.

Once Jon’s helicopter landed, he took his phone out and dialed Dorothea’s number, asking for Jake when she picked up.
“Happy birthday.” He said happily when he heard Jake’s voice on the other end. “Have you decided what you want to do tomorrow?” He knew tomorrow would be a busy day with his son and he loved it, he looked forward to it.

Melody started a movie around the time she knew Jon was going on stage. She didn’t feel like being on facebook and getting the play by play. The movie was more boring her than entertaining, after an hour she gave up and went to bed to read her book instead.

Way past midnight, past the first hour of the day, when Jon was finally back in his own bed, he looked over at the picture of him and Melody on his night stand. He had made a copy of it, so he always had one to take in his bag while he was gone. It seemed a long time ago even though it was only a few months, it seemed they knew each other for ages.
He picked up his phone and pressed speed dial 2.

Chapter 118

Once in the car Jon immediately pulled Melody closer to him, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her. His kisses were wide mouth, sloppy, tongue swirling everywhere kisses. Even though the kisses weren't perfect, they both had been longing for the contact.

Just like Jon, Melody lost herself in the moment, returning every kiss he gave. She knew she had to stop him soon, they were almost home.

Jon's hand moved from her waist up and covered her breast. Melody moaned at the touch. Jon took that as an encouragement and swiped his tuumb over where he knew her nipple was hiding underneath her blouse and bra. Statisfied with himself when he felt it harden.

When Jon finally came up for air and looked straight into Melody's eyes, he couldn't contain himself for one more quick kiss. "I love you." He said sincerely. "You know that, right?"
"Of course I know that, you've been telling me for months. I love you too." Melody answered. "I think we're home."

The car drove through the famaliar gate into the garage. The driver parked near the elevator and opened the doors for both of them.

Once behind closed elevator doors, Jon kissed her again. It only had been 4 days since he last kissed her lips ans they just tasted so good. He contained himself and his kisses were sweet, less urgent. He pulled Melody close to him, pressing his groin into her, making her moan. She know how badly he wanted it and felt bad she had to stop him unless she could convince him again.

When the elevator announced what floor they were at Jon let go and grabbed her hand to walk into his home.
Melody's thoughts made her chuckle.
"What's funny?"Jon asked wondering why she started laughing.
"I was just wondering how many girls you've taken from a concert to a car to your house."
"To my house? None. They just get hotel rooms. Doesn't that make you feel special?" He teased.
"Oh yes, very much." Melody teased back. "So where is that bedroom of yours?" She asked sweetly, stroking a finger over his jaw.
Jon grinned, he wouldn't say no to a little roleplay although he wanted to do a lot more than he used to let groupies do. "Right through here." He took her hand again and guided her through the hallway to his bedroom.

"How's this for ya?" He asked when they were inside the room, pulling Melody close for yet another kiss.
Her hands on his chest, feeling the hard muscles started roaming down. "I like but I like this even better." She yanked his t-shirt up, exposing all of the hard muscles she loved so much, she knew underneath was a much softer man.

Jon raised his arms to let her take his shirt off.

Once it was on the floor, his own hands started playing Melody's blouse. He liked blouses, he could unbutton them and expose her slowly or fast. Every opened button would make him hornier, raising anticipation.

He opened the first button, her chest. With the second button he could see the silk of her bra making him want to open that third button even faster to see her breasts fully. The fourth button showed him her belly. He didn't care it wasn't perfectly flat or that it had stretchmarks, he loved it. Her bellybutton showed at the fifth button. The sixth button showed him the top of her skirt, making his search complete.
He stood up to kiss Melody again, slow and soft just like he was pushing her blouse over her shoulders, slow and soft. An arm sneaked behind her back to pull her closer while his other hand dipped inside her bra. The hand behind her back undid her bra, making it fall loosely until he stood away to take it off.
Melody's hands were still on his chest. She noticed his touches made her breathing faster but she noticed the same under her hands.

Finally she pushed at his chest. Jon looked at her in confusion but when she started pushing him back to the bed, he was all to willing to comply. He laid down on the bed, pulling her with him, scootching over until they laid in the middle of the bed.
Melody climed on top of him, feeling his hard erection willing and able in it's confinement of Jon's too tight pants.

Both Jon's hands raised to grab her breasts that were right in front of him. When Melody leaned forward he groaned his appreciation, reaching her better until he lost connection when her breasts were skin to skin with his chest. The connection regained when she kissed him, knowing he wanted more than just kisses now as his arms wrapped around her, pulling her even closer to him.

Melody raised a little, letting go of his lips but kissing his jaw, following up to his chin. She followed the roughened skin that was starting to get prickly down to his neck. Extending her tongue she liked from his collarbone back up to his chin, feeling the rumble of his groan as he pushed his head further into the pillows behind him. Underneath her she could feel his dick desperatly wanted out of it's confinement.
Melody's kisses moved down his neck, gently sucking with each kiss she placed.
The softness of his neck and throat turned into the hardness of his chest but her kisses stayed the same, adding a little tongue as she gave his skin short licks. She noticed the rise and fall of his chest had become more rapid like her own.

Jon raised his arms, wanting to wrap them around Melody but she sat up before he could.
"Nah-ah, be a good boy and stay still." Melody pushed him back down.
After his frustration made room for enjoyment again, he liked Melody in control of things, realizing she hadn't done it much before.

Her lips were moving down his chest, to his nipple. She softly nipped the skin around it until her mouth smoothed the whole patch of skin, her tongue flicking over his nipple made Jon groaned again, wanting to take more action but he'd stay still. He wanted to know where it leaded.
Melody's breasts were now against his abdomen. He was glad he could feel the taut peaks as she treated his own, knowing it was turning her on too.

Finally her lips continued their journey downwards, following the treasure trail on the map that was Jon's hard belly of abs.
She reached his jeans that were still fastened. As soon as she raised a little to be able to open them, she felt both her breasts covered with hands that started to softly knead.
Melody her own hands moved to open the button of his jeans, parting the small patches of jeans before pulling down the zipper, parting his jeans even more. She didn't need to reach for him as his dick sprang right at attention, ready to play.

Melody smiled up at Jon, not losing eye contact as she leaned down again to kiss the tip.
He twitched at the sensation, already almost too much to bear. His hands fell away and rested back next to him on the bed.

Melody noticed how hard he was and almost looking purple. She smiled again. "No do it yourself on tour?" She teased as she wrapped her hand around him.
Jon's breathing became even more laboured and shook his head no.
Melody felt some sort of pride with that.

She kissed him again but instead of retreating, she opened her mouth and went lower, taking him inside her until he reached the back of her throat, he was fully in her.

When she moved back up, she noticed his hands were twisted in the sheets.
"You do it much better." He could barely say.

Melody almost felt bad that she was still on her period but knew a blowjob would satisfy him too as it would her.

As she wrapped her lips around him again, she felt Jon's hands move, this time to her ass. He grabbed her firmly.

With the next rise up Melody's lips moves away as she angled her head to reach his balls. She sucked one in her mouth, feeling how much it wanted relief and acknowledged when Jon groaned and grabbed her even more firmly.

Jon raised Melody's work skirt, pulling it up high so he could feel her skin underneath it.
When she felt his hands moving she knew she had to say something. She sat up, Jon's hands didn't move away.
"Jon, I still..." She hated saying it, she didn't want to disappoint him.
"Still?" He asked surprised and a little annoyed. It been five days!
"I'm sorry." She apologized.
"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault and we were making it work just fine." He wasn't going to tell her what he  was reaching for, he was sure she knew that too.
"Are you sure?" She asked a little uncertain. As turned on they both were, he surely wasn't going to stop her.
"Can't stop now." He said with a smile and a soft tap on her ass.

Melody complied and moved her position, sitting astride his leg as she bent down again.
One of Jon's hands stayed on her ass, eventhough it was still covered by panties there was enough soft and sensitive skin he could touch while his other hand twisted into her hair, gently pushing her further down.
Melody took him fully again to the back of her throat as she grinded herself into his leg, finding the right amount of friction she was searching for.

Her movents starting to become more than just her head, her hips were grinding into him, knowing all too well what she was doing, Jon wished he could do more. Her breasts were pressed down against his leg as her mouth still moved up and down around his dick. Knowing Melody was trying to take her own pleasure out of it too, he tried to hold on and not let go yet as much as he wanted and was ready to come, he wanted Melody to too.

Melody fell in to the perfect pace of pushing herself against his leg, the same pace as she sucked him. The firm hand on her ass, made her push into his leg even harder, making her feel her own arrousal approach, she knew it wouldn't take much for him and wanted to share that moment.

Jon's dick started to get even harder inside her mouth. Melody sucked harder, making him groan again, she loved that sound.

As she sucked harder, Jon pushed her harder against him. The friction made Melody moan and Jon smiled a knowing smile before his head pushed back into his pillows and his hips into Melody. Before he could warn Melody, he was flooding her mouth. As his whole body tensed so did his hand, making Melody reach her own orgasm with him as she felt even more pressure against her.

Melody swallowed as best as she could. Four days made its build up. She didn't stop licking until she started to feel him soften. Both his dick and his hand on her ass.

When she had him all clean, she moved off if him to sit on the bed and started pulling on his jeans, trying to get them off which wasn't easy considering how tight they were.

When she finally flung them to the floor, she undid her own zipper and took off her skirt.
Then crawled up the bed to snuggle up against him.

His arm immediately wrapped around her, pulling her close, he kissed the top of her head. "That was so good." He emphatized the "so".
Melody looked up at him, pleased how happy he was, she kissed his jaw.
Jon turned his head and kissed her lips.
"You're perfect." Melody said.
"So are you." He replied.
"Really," she said eager, "most guys would just go for the blowjob."
"I couldn't leave you hanging. It's been more than four days for you." He kissed her again.
"I love you." She told him.
"I love you too."

Jon pulled his arm tighter around her, pressing her breasts against his side, he loved that feeling. "I think I haven't done that since I was 14" He finally said.
"Did what?"
"Dry humping." He pointed out.
Melody laughed, she hadn't realized that that was basically what she had been doing.
"It's good." Jon said.
"But not as good." Melody pointed out her own fact.
"We got," Jon thought of the next time they could have sex, "fuck, two weeks."
Melody thought about it herself, he was right. "After that we got months though." She tried to lighten the mood again.
"Yeah." Months would be good, years and decades even better but he already had that planned. With a knowing smile he kissed Melody good night.
