Chapter 88

The next morning they slept in, for once not being woken up by little kids but by growling stomachs.

They walked out of their room finding the little ones in the living room watching tv, of course the older kids would still be in bed.

“So what shall we have?” Melody asked as she pulled the fridge open.
Jon looked over her shoulder, examining its contents. Then reached out. “Bacon.” He said and started opening drawers to find pans.

He fired up the stove and added butter to the pan before putting the slices of bacon into it and covering it up with a lid.

A few minutes later the table was set and they were having breakfast with their kids.

Yesterday they had spent the day on the beach with the kids. Building sandcastles, swimming and collecting shells to put on their castles. After all three of them had their own castle they decided to team up and build one big castle. Of course they needed more shells for that and off they went again searching the sand.

The whole time Jon took pictures of them playing, soon he’d be gone again and he’d have some great pictures to remember this day when he missed them. Often enough sneaking a picture of Melody sunbathing. Even though she was going with him, pictures were always good.

Today they were having a day by themselves. Melody had said she wanted another bikini and Jon couldn’t say no to that.

Only an hour later they left the house. The town centre wasn’t very far and they decided to walk the short distance.

“Let’s go in here.” Melody said when she looked into the window of a jewellery store. She pulled Jon’s hand and went into the store.
“What did you see?” Jon asked when they stood in the store.
“Nothing yet, let’s just look.” She hadn’t seen anything special in the window but was sure she could find something meaningful.

He followed her to the glass cases and looked over her shoulder.
“Those are nice.” Melody pointed to silver letters.
“Are you spelling out a name?” Jon asked when he saw the letters, they were nice and simple.
“No,” Melody answered. “I would want something more meaningful but they’re nice.” She turned around and walked to another case.

Melody laughed and pointed a necklace in a case. “Come look.” She waved Jon over to her. Then pointed to the glass again. “Look.” She pointed to a heart with an arrow in it. “Shot through the heart.”
“And you’re to blame?” He asked.
Melody chuckled. “Or it’s part of the game.”
“I’d rather blame you.”
“I don’t mind being the reason why you’re shot through the heart.” She said and pulled him closer for a light kiss.

“I thought you wanted something more meaningful.” He asked when Melody was still looking at the necklace in the case. It was a cute necklace but the meaning of it was obvious.
“I do, this is just cute.” She did think it was cute, she liked it a lot but she also wanted something more meaningful even though she liked this one.

Melody finally left it for what it was and went to the case that displayed chains, regular leather ones that could have pendant but also silver ones with or without decorations on it.
“I like these, simple and easy, normal, like us.” She said with a small smile. It was nice but nothing too fancy, exactly what she wanted.
“Normal? I’m not special?” He finally turned away from the previous case too, and joined her at the case and made a pouty face.
“You’re very special to me.” She said and added a soft kiss to his lips.
“Oh good, I almost started to worry.” He smiled and wrapped his arms around her. “See anything you like?” He looked into the case in front of them.

Melody nodded and pointed at the necklace with two small diamonds on the chain and a bigger one in the middle. The chain itself was silver and it looked gorgeous.
“That’s perfect.” Jon said and signalled to the store owner.

The store owner carefully opened the glass case and took the necklace out, holding it up for them to see.

After Jon paid at the register and they were outside again he fastened the necklace behind Melody’s neck. “It looks gorgeous.” He smiled when she turned around to face him. The chain wasn’t very long and the biggest diamond nicely rested in the middle of her v cut t-shirt.

They continued their walk to find what they went to town for in the first place, a new bikini. They found a swimwear store at the corner of the street. It wasn’t very big, divided by men and women’s swimwear on either side of the store.

Melody and Jon looked around the side with women’s swimwear. Melody hadn’t owned a bikini in years and didn’t know what style she wanted or needed.

Finally Jon picked out a fiery red one. It existed of a hot pants bottom and the top were two triangles with straps behind the back on behind the neck.
“Do you like this?” He asked, he liked it a lot but wanted her to like it too.
Melody liked the model of the suit but wasn’t sure about the colour. “Don’t you think it’s too red?”
“I think it would go great with your brown hair.” Jon answered, picking up one of her locks and pushing it back over her shoulder.

Melody thought it over for a minute and took the hanger with the bikini from Jon. Jon smiled at her action, knowing she would look great in red.

Melody regarded the other swimsuits on the wall and realized she wouldn’t want a full suit anymore either. Jon had convinced her to wear a two piece and she actually liked the one he had already bought for her. As long as Jon loved how she looked who else’s opinion mattered?

The fitting rooms were at the back of the store. The cubicles were closed off with a door, big enough for them both and a stool in the corner.

Melody quickly changed into the bikini and stood in front of the small mirror on the back of the room. Jon blocked half her view and moved to stand behind her to watch her in the mirror. Quickly looking down to check out her behind.
“You don’t need any convincing, do you?” She asked over her shoulder.
“Nope, I knew it would look great.”
“You think?” Melody asked, still not sure about the colour.

Jon simply nodded his answer. The fiery red was cooled down by the colour of her hair, rolling over her shoulders.
“Maybe I need more support.” Melody thought out loud as she fussed with the top.

Join reached his hands in front of her and covered her breasts, gently pushing them up. “Like this?” He asked with a grin, pushing his own body against her back.
Melody laughed. “You are impossible.”
“Am not!” He protested. “I exist, there for I’m possible.”
Melody chuckled. “Smartass.”
“That I am, besides, you like my ass.” Jon smiled and kissed her cheek. He gave her breasts a squeeze with that same grin he had earlier, then let go so she could change again.

Yeah! Glad to see another chapter up!
“I exist, there for I’m possible.”--I like that line from Jon.
